"I perceive photography as the dispositif allowing me to deepen the materiality of the real: the picture lives. The image is a net whose determinations of physical distance with the eye cannot be traced. Making images is inventing ourselves in another substance: another way of making love. Therefore my work aims at exploring the interactions between human beings and the physical and social environment that produce their contemporary display. I approach photography in a social way, freezing those moments I consider peculiar for details often unnoticed. I am particularly struck by the different forms in which bodies develop and form theirselves, from an aesthetic and physical as well as an emotional point of view, and I investigate their relationship with the factors that influence and build them, whether they are environmental or social, in a more <documentary> way, or whether they are of a more metaphorical or abstract nature."
